Here comes that rain again

Eindelijk is het weer zo ver, na 5 maanden gaat het weer regen...

We wachten al ruim een week, maar het is nog steeds niet gebeurd.

Vanochtend keken we naar buiten en het is helemaal bewolkt, het lijkt erop dat we regen mogen verwachten vandaag.

Pech für Lance sein housewarming party, die wir heute Abend feieren. Aber er gibts wieder Alcohol und das mach späss...!!

Gurrumul live in Kings Park

Last night we spent 5 hours in Perth' Kings Park Botanical Garden to listen to a variety of Aboriginal artists singing with Gurrumul and the West Australian Symphony Orchestra as the Highlight. Gurrumul is a blind singer from the far Northern Arnhem land in Australia. His full name is Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu. Listen to his amazing voice, it was a very emotional concert with the Symphony Orchestra even playing typical Aboriginal tunes.

Letzte Nacht waren wir auf einem atemberaubenden Konzert von Gurrumul mit dem West Australian Symphony Orchestra und anderen Aboriginal Saengern. Es war echt besonders, was fuer eien tolle Stimme und dann noch die Atmosphaere unter den Sternen im Botanischen Garten Open Air. Den Mann muss man echt live gesehen haben.

Christine Anu was singing before Gurrumul, also a beautiful voice, very different music to that of Gurrumul.
Christine Anu war im Vorprogramm und hat spaeter mit Gurrumul zusammen gesungen, auch toll. Ganz andere Musik. Sie kommt von den Torres Strait Inseln ganz im Nordwesten von Australien.

Aloha from Hawaii

 Two weeks on Hawaii are almost over, our last night today. We had a great time on Big Island, but the Volcano dod not show Lava flows. We missed it, again. Nevertheless, the volcano was active and we could see the Glow in the night. The magma chamber is full and has risen 15m in the last few days. The islands are very diverse from corals reefs to volcanic black and green sand beaches, and great food.

Zwei Wochen auf Hawaii sind fast vorbei, unsere letzte Nacht heute. Wir hatten 1 Woche auf Big Island wo der grosse Vulkan ist. Er war aktief, aber spuckte leider keine Lava aus. Die Magma Kammer ist voll und ist 15m gestiegen seit letzter Woche. Trotzdem war es eine tolle Zeit, Korallnriffe im Westen, Buckelwale und Delphine am springen, viele bunte Fische beim schnorcheln, Schildkroeten auf Lavasteinen, Berge, Vulkan und gutes Essen.
