Rat's Nest - Rottnest Island, home of the Quokka

Hello, says the Quokka! Ein kleines Beuteltier, verwandt mit den Kaengurus. Sehr neugierig....very curious little animals.

 Parker Point is one the most beautiful beaches on Rottnest.

 Picknick at Little Salmon Bay. White sand and tropical corals in shallow water (<3m). Perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

 Mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs auf Rottnest, entlang der 'Pink Lakes', Seen in denen pinkfarbene Bakterien leben.

 Little Armtrong Bay, hier war ich letzte Woche schon waehrend meines Tauchgangs in 22m Tiefe.

Nochmal Sydney - Sydney once more in Summer

Jens war eingeladen von der Uni New South Wales zu einem workshop, also haben wir nochmal die Chance genutzt um nach Sydney zu fliegen. Diesmal haben wir in Surrey Hills ein Bed and Breakfast genommen, super Lage und dicht bei allen Restaurants und Cafes. Zudem gab es ein paar neue Sehenswuerdigleiten, z.B. das Frank Gehry House der Buiseness School von der Uni Sydney. Die Innenausstattung war noch besser als die Fassade.

 Trip to Newtown, a lovely suburb just 20min from the city centre. Lost of bars and restaurants, and beautiful houses.

Perth Festival has started and Fringe Festival is going into its last week. The most exciting time to visit and live in Perth. The Giant Puppets were made a French artist and >20 people pull the strings to move it. We had a glimpse at the Giant Girl near our house.

Perth Festival hat begonnen mit den 'Giants', gigantisch grosse Puppen die von >20 Leuten bewegt werden. Die Puppe laeuft durch die Stadt und dabei wird ein Geschichte erzaehlt. Neben Perth Festival ist noch stets das Fringe Festival im Gange. Die beste Zeit um in Perth zu sein, viel Kultur und Sonne.
